First teased at the beginning of the year, the Teyana Taylor x Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT “A Rose From Harlem” pays homage to both Taylor’s roots as well as her 2018 record “Rose in Harlem.” From the “Gym Red” used throughout the colorway to the “A ROSE FROM HARLEM” text hidden along the backside of the ankle flaps, the design makes a number of overt nods to its overarching themes. Even the Swooshes — which dress the left and right pair in two different colors and sizes — are likened to a rose with their thorn-inspired embroidery and zig-zag stitching.
